ABSTRACT:
Technology, engineering and science of water sustainability and water remediation are today in the path of newer scientific and engineering rejuvenation. Membrane separation processes and desalination in the similar vision are in the avenues of newer scientific ingenuity. Civilization, engineering science and technology are moving towards Fourth Industrial Revolution and Internet 3.0. Water science and water technology today are in the midst of deeper scientific introspection as United Nations Sustainable Development goals trudges forward. In this article, the author deeply elucidates the recent advancement in membrane science and desalination science. Success and ingenuity of human civilization towards depends on application of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across nations around the globe. The author deeply reiterates and pronounces the needs of membrane science and desalination science in the domain of industrial wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment. The author also deeply elucidates the needs of arsenic and heavy metal groundwater remediation. Surely and remarkably a newer scientific and engineering epoch will usher in if researchers, scientists and policy makers across the globe takes effective steps in proper implementation of public health engineering and environmental engineering science. Novel separation processes and desalination are in the path of newer scientific and engineering divination. The author deeply pronounces and reiterates the needs of chemical process engineering and environmental engineering science in the futuristic epoch of global research and development initiatives.
