ABSTRACT:
Novel C,N-diphenyl-a-amino nitrone has been synthesized in water and 1,3 dipolar cycloaddition reaction of the nitrone has been studied with maleimides in water. Significant rate acceleration and high yield of these reactions are observed in water compared with organic solvents. The structures of all the compounds have been established on the basis of spectral and analytical data.
