ABSTRACT:
Thermal conductivity (?) of seven complex organic liquids, polyethers namely diethylene glycol dibutyl ether-n-dodecane, diethylene glycol dimethyl ether-n-dodecane, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether-n-dodecane, triethylene glycol dimethyl ether-n-dodecane and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether-n-dodecane ( DEG-DBE, DEG-DME, MEG-DME, TEG-DME, TRG-DME respectively), octane and dodecane, have been calculated from Marcus (1995) correlation between transport properties and thermodynamic properties. Using the experimental values of isobaric heat capacity (CP) and molar volume (V), thermal conductivity (?) values were calculated. The results are found to be quite satisfactory.
