ABSTRACT:
Twelve 1-Heterocyclicaminomethyl-3-(4'-arylamino-3'-nitrozoylhydrazono)-2-indolinones (Via-VIl) were synthesized starting from 4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoic acid. All these compounds were subjected for antifilarial testing on cotton rats infected with L. Carinii. Compound VIj was found to be most active showing 79, 55.7 and 88.8% reduction in mf count on the day 8, 21 and 42 respectively.
