ABSTRACT:
Surface tension of two binary (N2+Ar and Ar+CH4) cryogenic liquid mixtures has been estimated using two theoretical models. A comparative study of calculated surface tension values, obtained from Flory theory and Brock & Bird empirical relation, has been made. The results are discussed on the basis of intermolecular interactions between the components of the mixtures. Flory’s statistical theory has been found to be the most superior.
