ABSTRACT:
A simple, rapid, economical, precise and accurate Area under curve method was developed for determination of Clonidine HCl in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form. The ethanol was used as solvent. The wavelength ranges selected for the analysis was 201-211nm. The Linearity was found to be between 1-5µg/ml. The % assay for commercial formulation was found to be in the range 99.93% – 100.03 %. Recovery was found in the range of 99.94 –99.97%. The results of analysis have been validated statistically and recovery studies confirmed the accuracy and reproducibility of the proposed methods which were carried out by following ICH guidelines.
