ABSTRACT:
Aim of work is the synthesis and characterization of biologically potent Schiff bases and their organotin (IV) complexes derived from substituted o-vanillin and pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid hydrazide. Tin (IV) complexes were synthesized by reacting R2SnCl2 (R=Ph, Bu, Et and Me) with ligands in 1:1 ratio in methanol. The synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, UV-Vis, IR and 1H NMR, 13C NMR & 119Sn NMR spectral techniques.
