ABSTRACT:
Antioxidant activity of methanol extract of gamma irradiated and unirradiated Citrus medica fruit bio-mass was investigated for its free radical scavenging activity. Antioxidant activity of methanol extract was evaluated by DPPH and nitric oxide radical scavenging method. In DPPH method 100 µg/ml of MEUCM and MERCM exhibited 58.14% and 55.95% inhibition and in Nitric oxide method 100 µg/ml concentration of MEUCM and MERCM shows 58.28%, 50.32% inhibition respectively.
