ABSTRACT:
Simple, sensitive and accurate spectrophotometric method was proposed for the micro determination of Vanadate (VO3-) using Tannic acid as a reagent. The method was based on the formation of 1:1blue colored complex between the metal and TA.
The optimum conditions for the determination were established. The Beer’s law was applicable in the range of 0.02-0.8 ug/ml. The method detection limit, limit of quantification, molar absorptivity, Sandell’s sensitivity coefficient of correlation (ß) were reported. The method is free from common interferences. The method was successfully applied for the determination of Vanadate (VO3-) in environmental water samples, urine sample and pharmaceutical products.
