ABSTRACT:
In the present study a simple, sensitive, accurate and effective Reverse Phase High-Performance liquid chromatographic (RP- HPLC) method was developed for the determination of Atenolol and Indapamide simultaneously in the tablets. The analysis was resolved by using a mobile phase methanol: water (60:40) with 0.1%v/v of Ammonium Hydroxide, at a flow rate of 1ml/min on an isocratic HPLC system consisting of SPD-20 A/20AV UV-VIS detector using C18 column at a wavelength of 260 nm. The retention time was found to be 7.5 and 8.9 min respectively. Linearity was established for Atenolol and Indapamide in the range of 4.5-500 µg/ml and 0.225-25 µg/ml respectively.
