ABSTRACT:
The influence of three compounds vanillin, phenyl thiourea and N allyl thiourea on the dissolution of zinc in 0.5M HCl solution was investigated using weight loss technique. The inhibition efficiency was found to decreased with increasing the duration and temperature. The inhibition action of these compounds was explained in terms of adsorption on the zinc surface. The result s shows that vanillin is give highest inhibitor efficiency among the inhibitor studied.
