ABSTRACT:
The new series of chalcones have been prepared by the Claisen-Schmidt condensation reaction. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by the spectral data [Infrared spectroscopy (IR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H1 NMR)]. All the compounds (I.A-D & II.A-D) have been tested for their antimicrobial activities (Cup- Plate method).
